T-Alento for Casal Velino: digital museum, Genius Loci and multimedia totems for distributed heritage

T-Alento turns Casal Velino into an augmented village where contemporary art, local memory, landscape and digital welcome work together. For museums and cultural operators, it is a concrete example of a distributed digital museum: a system that connects artworks, routes, local archives, multimedia totems, apps and conversational artificial intelligence.

For the project we delivered a full ecosystem: informational app, kids web app for children and families, equipped info point with hardware and lighting, three multimedia totems across the village, plus apps and content management for the totems.

Genius Loci: when places become conversation

The heart of the project is Genius Loci: narrative assistants rooted in places, designed to give voice to memories, artworks, rituals, landscapes and traditions. They are not simple museum chatbots, but characters with tone, context and specific expertise, guiding visitors through natural questions.

A model for museums, municipalities and cultural foundations

T-Alento presents the village as an open-air gallery: Antonio Ievolella's works, graphic signs, authors' words and community stories become an ethnographic route that invites visitors to slow down and see differently.

It is a project of urban and cultural regeneration, but also a reference for those seeking conversational AI for museums, interactive totems for heritage, apps for visitor experience, digital education and territorial storytelling. The official project website is t-alento.it.
